The Inevitable Event - Chapter 56 of the Holy Quran
Surah Al-Waqi'ah (The Inevitable Event) is the 56th chapter of the Quran. It was revealed in Mecca and consists of 96 verses. The Surah derives its name from the word "Al-Waqi'ah" (The Inevitable Event) which appears in the first verse, referring to the Day of Judgment.
This powerful chapter describes the events of the Day of Judgment, the division of people into three groups (the foremost, the companions of the right, and the companions of the left), and provides evidence of Allah's power through signs in the universe.
